So I had a plan

Sometimes it’s good to get mad. To be upset and angered by the injustices in the world. It motivates you do something about it. Make a difference.

But sometimes it is just a waste of energy. Like this morning.  Kid one and kid two both missed their buses. Both. There was no real good reason for it. One was distracted by the cats. Yeah, that is why. The other was apprehensive about going to school and the stall tactics caused the missed bus. As I began my drive taking the kids to their individual schools, I was fuming. I had a great deal scheduled to do today before work. Now I was behind schedule and a couple of things were just not going to get done.  I was sitting at a red light I was thinking I hate feeling mad. Tense muscles and negative thoughts. Grrrr. And that’s when it occurred to me I really needed to let it go. Staying mad wasn’t going to change anything. We were all still running late. Things still weren’t going to get done no matter how mad I got. At that moment I was no longer mad because my time is precious. I will not waste it being angry if it accomplishes nothing. I believe that is what a ninja would do. Unexpected events happen to interfere with your plans, you deal and go with the flow and continue on your mission.
My mission?
I have many.

Be cool

Missing a day

Where the heck did Tuesday go?
I remember Monday and today is accounted for but what happened to Tuesday.
I hope I accomplished a lot because it is all a blur now.

Days fly by.
Weeks fly by.
Heck, the month of January is at its end.
I hope I do not wake up tomorrow and ask where the heck did the year go.
I do not wish to rise one morning in December 2012 and say where did the year go?
Not accomplishing goals I have set for myself. Not enjoying life but treading water of a humdrum, boring life. Not being able to say that was the best year EVER!
That is my life goal, to be able to say 'best year of my life' every year because it just keeps getting better.
Well that goal and becoming a ninja, of course.
I will be honest some years have been less than eventful and I have only myself to blame. I have shamefully let the stresses and the boredom of daily routine of responsibility to hinder me. Becoming stagnant.
Now I like to go with the flow and enjoy making waves, occasionally.
My ninja training is always exciting and challenging.
My new job is refreshing and new.
New side business is fun.
Awesome friends.
Cool Husband
Great kids
Yes, I do believe when December 2012 rolls around I will be saying, best freaking year ever!
(cause I will make it the best)

Be responsible but make sure you have fun too.

Happy but still rather be a Ninja

I got a job today!
No, I was not hired as a ninja.
I know kind of depressing.
Just a regular job at a regular place.
Actually, I am happy. It has taken a long time to find work.
I can't wait to start being part of the work force again.
(catch up on the bills)
I know I am lucky I got a job.
But man, I'd so rather be a Ninja.

Still dreaming

Ninja with a Cause Monday

Some diseases are like ninjas to the public. Never heard, never seen and very deadly.
Rare diseases probably don't get the recognition they should meaning they probably don't get the funds and research they should either.

Rare Disease Day - Last day of February every year.  Save the day.

Rare Disease day was first observed in Europe in 2008 by Eurordis. (Rare Diseases of Europe)
In 2009 they asked NORD (National Organizations for Rare Disorders) to get involved.
In 2011 over 60 countries were involved.

Old School

Lil Ninja kicking it old school.
Stumbled upon a picture of some very famous Martial artists. We will forgive them the seventies fashion as I hope people forgive our fashion choices of today in 20+ years.

It's Friday the 13th.

Hoping a ninja cat doesn't cross your path today!

Happy NFF!

Make do with what ya got

Doctor says no punches. My shoulder and elbows need to heal. He did say I could kick all I want.
Sooooo...
Low round one, mid round one, high round two, low round two, knee two, knee one.
(Step back creating distance)
Power front two, power front one, spinning back kick.
I love to kick. Hee hee hee.
Kick combinations, I find are good for your cardio, good for your balance, good for your butt.

Site I got picture right above:

Scrabble Anyone?

I love scrabble. I am not very good at it considering I am a god awful speller.
(Thank goodness for the red squiggly line)
Of course I rarely win but I do have a really good time playing. I enjoy playing cards too. Some cards games I am better at and win more often than not. Some I lose every time I play. Still enjoy playing the game and the interaction with others.
I can't imagine not doing something because I may lose. To never try something because I was afraid to fail. Failure is part of life and an amazing learning tool. I know this because I have learned a great deal through my forty plus years. Some lessons I have learned more than once. I am silly that way.

Trying some new things this year. Just love me a little adventure.
Win or lose. Pass or fail. At least I tried.

Be adventurous

Ninja with a cause 2012

I was on the G-Pact Facebook page the other day. There was a picture and the text on it said "Nauseous because I haven't eaten all day. Haven't eaten all day because I am nauseous." The words keep rolling around in my head. Perpetual nausea. I try to wrap my head around it. I think of times when I am nauseous but it ends. The germs that infiltrated my body to cause my nausea die off, leave, whatever. The point is it will end.
With gastroparesis it is not a germ making you nauseous. Your digestive tract is not working correctly causing the nausea. Now granted I just totally broke it down to the simplest terms. There is extensive reasons for the nausea but I will save those explanations for the more qualified.

So I would like you to imagine today what it would be like if you were the one saying "Nauseous because I haven't eaten all day. Haven't eaten all day because I am nauseous." And you say this 24/7. But you can't stay home in bed or curl up on the couch under a blankie till you feel better. You have to go work and take of your family and try to live a "normal" life.
My wish for the new year is they just don't find better ways to treat the nausea better but a cure for the underlining cause of the nausea, gastroparesis.

Be Well
